When should I consider having an infertility evaluation by my provider?

  • Under 35 years old: No pregnancy after 1 year of having regular sexual intercourse without using any form of birth control.
  • Over 35 years old: No pregnancy after 6 months of having regular sexual intercourse without using any form of birth control.
  • Older than 4o years old: No pregnancy within 6 months of having regular sexual intercourse without using any form of birth control.
  • Irregular menstrual cycle.
  • A known fertility problem for you and/or your partner.
