Golden Gate Obstetrics and Gynecology has long been a local leader in women’s health care. Dr. Lois Holmes Brock, one of the Bay Area’s first female physicians, established a new culture of excellence and innovation in women’s health care when she founded Golden Gate in 1939 with her husband, Dr. Harold Watson. Their partner, Dr. Gilbert Webb, carried on the practice, becoming an important leader in women’s health issues, both locally and nationally, and serving as a mentor to Golden Gate physicians until his death in 1998. In our ongoing effort to continue their tradition of excellence, we are upgrading our facilities and services.
New Facility
Golden Gate Ob/Gyn has leased space at the Sutter Medical Office Building at 3838 California Street in San Francisco since the building was constructed in the 1970s. Today, our practice occupies four separate suites on the building’s eighth floor. To improve our services and patient comfort, we are consolidating our offices into one integrated women’s health center with ample parking. The new center will open at 1725 Montgomery Street in the North Waterfront area of San Francisco in October 2011.
New Skin Center
As part of our mission to provide comprehensive health and wellness services to Bay Area women, we are expanding beyond traditional gynecological services. The Golden Gate Skin Center will be located in our new facility to provide patients with such non-surgical aesthetic services as Botox, Juvederm, laser treatments and clinical facials. The Skin Center also will offer prescription-strength skin care products and prenatal and postnatal massage treatments.
New Website
Most of us have grown accustomed to managing our personal responsibilities online. Now you can manage your health care online, too. Golden Gate’s new website allows patients to manage their personal health information and get medical advice all in one portal. The site is clean and easy to navigate, and features hundreds of pages of educational information, frequently asked questions, online shopping resources, customer support and a growing set of interactive patient tools. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, just type your question into the search bar at the top right-hand corner of the site.
