Alaina enjoys assisting women in making informed decisions about their health. She provides comprehensive gynecological and obstetrical care. Alaina’s approach to care is evidence-based, and trauma informed. She ensures each patient receives personalized, compassionate care. 

Her career in women’s health began in 2005 when she moved to the Bay Area after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of British Columbia-Okanagan. She spent nearly a decade working in one of Northern California’s busiest Labor and Delivery Units in Berkeley. Here, she supported women and their families through a variety of birth experiences from scheduled cesarean sections to hypnobirthing. These experiences deepened her commitment to honoring the unique needs and desires of each woman, whether she is preparing for birth, navigating reproductive health or entering menopause transition. 

Alaina holds a Master of Nursing from the University of British Columbia and is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her professional background spans both community based and private practice settings, giving her a well rounded perspective on the diverse needs of her patients. 

Currently she lives in San Francisco with her husband and two boys. Outside of the clinic, she indulges her adventurous spirit by traveling and exploring different cuisines across the globe. To balance her love of food, you can often find her on urban hikes with her dog, open water swimming in San Francisco Bay, or embracing her latest passion- weight lifting!
