Dr. Fung Lam is one of the senior physicians at Golden Gate Obstetrics & Gynecology. He specializes in obstetrics, gynecology and preventative medicine, and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Dr. Lam graduated cum laude from Harvard University, where he was a four-year Harvard National Scholar. He attended medical school at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, and completed his residency training at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center.
In addition to his role at Golden Gate Ob/Gyn, he also plays active roles as a council member and past President for the San Francisco Gynecological Society, President of The Pacific Coast Obstetrical & Gynecological Society, previous vice chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at California Pacific Medical Center, clinical professor at UCSF Medical Center, and adjunct professor at Dartmouth Medical School.
Dr. Lam has received many awards and honors, most recently receiving a special recognition award for his excellence in teaching at UCSF in 2010 and 2019 and an award for his Ob/Gyn Resident Teaching in 2009. In his spare time, Dr. Lam enjoys golfing, photography, travel and spending time with his wife and three children.
As of March 2020, Dr. Lam has taken a break from practicing medicine to focus on his health and recover from surgery. He is hopeful to be back in the office again soon.
