Jessica Dyatlov is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for community and reproductive health. She started her perinatal career as a Registered Nurse on the postpartum unit at Stanford Children’s Hospital, caring for new parents often navigating high risk pregnancies. Her years of experience at Stanford highlighted for her the connection between birth and population health, ultimately inspiring her to pursue her master’s degree as a primary care nurse practitioner at the UC Davis School of Nursing in Sacramento. She has earned special recognition throughout her work, including receipt of a hospital-wide Florence Nightingale award from Stanford Children’s Hospital and an award for Excellence in Community Connections from UC Davis.
Jessica is also an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, currently practicing per diem at California Pacific Medical Center. She is highly skilled in breastfeeding management, ranging from initiation in the early postpartum period to ongoing support for families navigating the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Her commitment as a lactation consultant is to support a feeding plan that feels sustainable for the whole family. While upholding the global and individual benefits of breastfeeding, Jessica also prioritizes nurturing new parents and reducing shame when challenges arise.
Jessica’s special interests include health promotion and disease prevention, cardiovascular risk management, breast health, emotional and mental well-being, and healthcare accessibility across the lifespan. She has a passion for education and has also taught reproductive nursing and clinical skills to nursing students at San Francisco State University. Her experiences volunteering as, and training postpartum doulas have further instilled in her a deep commitment to compassion, autonomy, and collaboration in all aspects of healthcare.
Jessica has lived in San Francisco for nearly a decade and has a strong community and deep love for the city. She spends her free time taking her dog hiking along the coast, swimming indoors, enjoying sunset picnics at Ocean Beach, and spending time with her loved ones.
