Dr. Joshua Benham joined the team at Golden Gate Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2020. He has been practicing in San Francisco since 2017, and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

He enjoys working with a broad range of patients in both Obstetrics and Gynecology, and particularly enjoys guiding families through the unique stresses and concerns of becoming first-time parents.

Dr. Benham is a Bay Area native who spent a few years away studying Child Development at Tufts University and attending Medical School at University of Pennsylvania.  He completed his residency at George Washington University in Washington D.C., where he received an official commendation for his communication and interpersonal skills and was chosen as the OB/GYN Chief Resident of the Year.

During and after residency, Dr. Benham has developed a unique interest in mobile health and the evolving landscape of healthcare delivery, writing content for pregnancy-related apps, and was chosen as a Frontline Scholar for TEDMED. He continues to spend time working within this niche and enjoys sharing these ideas and innovations with patients.

Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Benham enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, being outdoors, camping, and traveling.
