As of June 1st, we resumed seeing all preventative well woman exams in office for patients 64 years of age and under. If you are currently an established patient of Golden Gate’s and are 65 years of age or older, please see our Medicare Blog for more information on how Golden Gate can work to best serve your medical needs collaboratively with your primary care physician, making for the most optimal care team.
While it is unclear when our shelter-in-place will lift in its entirety, public health officials are encouraging keeping medical appointments. We too feel it is important that everyone receive their preventative exam to address all physical and emotional well-being concerns. Preventative appointments are intended to prevent and catch diseases early so you have the best chance to recover.
Golden Gate will continue to offer TeleHealth appointments when appropriate for the medical need, beyond shelter in place. We will also continue with our daily pre-screening phone calls and texts prior to each in-office appointment, and we encourage partners and guests to stay at home unless needed to accompany you to your ultrasound or procedure. Each person entering the office 12 years and older will be required to wear a face mask, which we will provide if needed. Social distancing a minimum of six feet is encouraged, and upon checking in for your appointment we may ask that you wait in your vehicle to help adhere to this guideline.
For the safety of our patients, staff, and providers, if you are experiencing or have experienced a fever, cough, body aches, shortness of breath, or GI symptoms in the past 10 days, we ask that you reschedule your appointments and follow the SF Department of Public Health’s protocols for self-isolation.
If you were asked to reschedule your annual well woman exam over the past 11 weeks, you may call or email our office to reschedule your appointment at, 415.666.1250 or callcenter@goldengateobgyn.org. We will do our best to accommodate your desired appointment day and time with your primary provider, but please understand that due to the circumstance you may experience increased difficulty getting in with your physician on your preferred day and time. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding and have three very skilled nurse practitioners on site five days a week who are more than happy to see you for your annual well-woman exam.
